Attend one of our Q&A Sessions with GreenThumb to ask questions about GreenThumb policies, resources, and the License Agreement. We ask that all attendees first review the GreenThumb License Agreement and the Gardeners’ Handbook. GreenThumb has also created a video tutorial that provides an overview of the License Agreement.

  • Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 – 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. – virtual
  • Monday, October 3rd, 2022 – 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. – virtual
  • Saturday November 5th, 2022, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – in-person at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, 131 East 10th Street, New York, NY 10003 hosted by Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens (LUNGS) - Entrance on 11th Street.

* You may request interpretation services at least 3 weeks in advance for any Q&A Session for any language during the RSVP process.

Next Steps and What to Expect

As the garden group’s designated contact, it is your responsibility to communicate announcements from GreenThumb to the group and to help facilitate the 2023 relicensing of the garden. Please find below a timeline for the 2023 Relicensing process:

  • Jul. 14th – Aug. 19th, 2022: Submit Responses to 2019-2022 GreenThumb License Agreement Survey
  • Sep. 13th – Nov. 13th, 2022: Attend one Q&A Session (watch video tutorial before your session)
  • By December 31st, 2022: Submit complete 2023 Relicensing package to GreenThumb

We will continue sending updates to all garden contacts for GreenThumb gardens located wholly or partially on NYC Parks’ property. Please keep an eye out for these important updates.

Caring for a GreenThumb community garden is an important form of community service and we thank you for taking on this responsibility to make your neighborhood and our city a better place. GreenThumb is here to support garden groups however we can, and we are thankful for the opportunity to get to work with dedicated New Yorkers like you.
